District Details
The Banswara district forms eastern part of the region known as Vagad or Vagwar. The district was formerly a princely state ruled by the Maharavals. It is said that a Bhil ruler Bansia ruled over it and Banswara was named after his name. Bansia was defeated and killed by Jagmal Singh who became the first Maharaval of the princely state

भारतीय विद्या भवन रातीतलाई विद्यालय के संयोजन में प्रारंभिक शिक्षा विभाग के शारीरिक शिक्षकों की दो दिवसीय वाकपीठ संगोष्ठी शनिवार को संपन्न हुई। मुख्य अतिथि केबिनेट मंत्री महेंद्र जीत सिंह मालवीया ने कहा कि खेलकूद जीवन का अभिन्न अंग हैं। शारीरिक शिक्षकों का दायित्व है कि वे प्रतिभाओंको तराश कर खेल के क्षेत्र में जिले का नाम रोशन करें। मालवीया ने कहा कि आगामी समय में शारीरिक शिक्षकों के रिक्त पदों को भी जल्द भरा जाएगा।
